Read What Are the Most Attractive Features In a Woman
You have no doubt heard the expression, “beauty is
in the eye of the beholder”, but did you know that the way human’s process
attractiveness is universal? Although it may seem like we have different tastes
when it comes to what we look for in a partner, there are five features that
science says we find the most attractive.
1. Smile
This doesn’t mean you need a big wide smile like
Julia Roberts or a sultry pout like Scarlett Johansson, but it does mean
that you need to take care of your mouth. Bright, pearly whites
are inviting and show that you take pride in your teeth. If your teeth are
yellow or you have a bad bite on your lips, you may be less inclined to smile.
It also gives people the impression that you are cold and have no desire to
interact with them. If smiling isn’t your strong suit or you don’t have the
funds to fix crooked teeth, try putting on red lipstick. A red pout gives off
confidence and draws attention to your mouth without exposing the teeth you’re
not proud of.
2. Eyes
Most people say they noticed their partner’s eye
colour upon first meeting. While it is assumed that people with blue eyes are
considered more attractive than those with brown or green eyes, this is not
always the case. Eye shape and size are more prominent in this case than
colour. You will notice someone’s eye colour if their eyes are of an average
shape. This is the one instance where being average works in your favour. We
tend to consider people with eyes that are too big or too small less attractive
because that’s not the norm. If you cannot afford an eyelift you can try to
play up smaller eyes or tone down bigger ones with makeup.
3. Breasts
When it comes to breasts, bigger doesn’t necessarily
mean better. It’s all about position, shape, and appearance. Whether your
breasts are on the small side or larger than life, if they’re perky and sit
proportionally on your chest without appearing saggy or droopy, you will be
considered attractive. As we age, our breasts can lose their firmness and shift
downwards. A breast lift can fix this problem, but if surgery is not in your
budget, try a flattering push up bra.
4. Stomach
A flat, toned stomach is something we all covet and
it turns out it’s also something we collectively find attractive. Some people
are able to achieve bikini-ready abs with diet and exercise while others aren’t
so lucky. If you’ve tried diet and exercise but can’t lose that excess stomach
fat, a tummy tucks or liposuction will work wonders. However, if you can’t
afford either, there are products like girdles and control-top garments that
can make you appear slimmer in the stomach area.
5. Nose
This is all about symmetry. If your nose is bumpy or
crooked, it can appear asymmetrical. Rhinoplasty can fix this problem but not
all of us are ready for a nose job. Unfortunately, makeup doesn’t always work
to make the nose look more symmetrical and surgery is almost always the only
option.
Although
we all have unique and personal tastes in what we find attractive, we tend to
gravitate towards people with symmetrical noses, flat stomachs, a beautiful
smile and eyes, and perky (not necessarily big) breasts. Many of us strive
to achieve these features through makeup, however sometimes the power of
cosmetical art isn’t enough. In that case, some of us start considering cosmetic surgical procedures
such as facelift, breast augmentation etc., which is A-Okay!
